Girls on the Run is a 501(c)3 positive youth development program that encourages girls in third through eighth grade to lead joyful, healthy and confident lives, using a fun, experience-based curriculum, which creatively integrates running. The core curriculum addresses many aspects of girls’ development—their physical, emotional, mental and social well-being. Lessons provide girls with the tools to make positive decisions and avoid risky adolescent behaviors.
NPA members Sow Good, Coral and Burt’s Bees donated products for 5,000 cinch backpacks, that were distributed to runners. NPA staff also participated in the race.
