One Direction will enter the fragrance scene with Olivann Beauty.
It appears that One Direction is going in many directions these days. The pop group, also known as 1D, has signed a license partnership with Olivann Beauty, a spin-off of Fusion Brands Luxury Fragrance Division, to release a debut signature fragrance. Olivann Beauty will be responsible for all marketing to support the fragrance launch in 2013 while directing global sales and distribution efforts.

To date, One Direction has sold more than 17 million records globally, their videos have been watched nearly 700 million times on VEVO, and the group has over 11 million followers on Facebook and over 8 million followers on Twitter.

“As a band, we have been discussing making a fragrance for our fans for quite a while so we’re really excited to finally have this opportunity. We’ve been working away on this and we’re very proud of the way it has turned out. We really can’t wait to hear what our fans think,” said Niall Horan from One Direction.

“We are thrilled to partner with One Direction, one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry,” said Olivann Beauty chairman and CEO Eugene Melnyk. “This is a true partnership in both scope of products we will develop together and term. We’ve had global success with our Clean brand and are poised to replicate that success in the fashion and celebrity space. We pride ourselves on only introducing new products that will change the game and set the example for those that follow.”

The band also recently signed a licensing deal with Colgate.
