Honors for Silab’s Vederine Skin Care Ingredient

January 29, 2013

Silab received the Gold Award for Vederine in the “Innovation Zone– Best Ingredient Award” ceremony at In-Cosmetics.

Rich in oligofructosans purified from chicory (Cichorium intybus), Vederine is an active restructuring ingredient capable of restoring cutaneous homeostasis modified with age by activating the key receptor of the vitamin D metabolism in the skin, the Vitamin D Receptor (VDR). It has a “vitamin D-like” efficacy that was verified via in vitro and in vivo testing, according to the company.
