SC Johnson has marked 90 years of giving to the local United Way and more than $50 million in cumulative contributions for the local nonprofit organization.

“Providing local leadership and support to communities—whether in our hometown of Racine or around the globe—is part of our DNA,” said Fisk Johnson, chairman and CEO of SC Johnson. “

Every year, SC Johnson launches a robust United Way fundraising campaign. Thanks to a company-wide, dollar-for-dollar match promise, the year’s total amounted to more than $1.7 million in contributions. The funds are used to help improve lives for many people in the community by supporting priority programs as well as projects in education, health and income.

In addition to the nearly century-old relationship with the United Way of Racine, SC Johnson awards grants to a wide variety of organizations of all sizes. In the past five years, the company awarded more than 1,200 small grants totaling $1.1 million. Throughout its 127-year history, the company has also awarded larger scale donations to organizations such as The Nature Conservancy in Brazil, Gateway Technical College in Wisconsin and the Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research. Since 2000, SC Johnson has contributed nearly $250 million globally through grants and product donations.
