Seppic, a subsidiary of Air Liquide, reinforced its activity in the healthcare specialty ingredients category with the acquisition of BiotechMarine. BiotechMarine is a leading player in the design and marketing of active ingredients for the global cosmetics industry.
BiotechMarine offers a complete range of natural active ingredients that are used in cosmetic products in particular. The acquisition of BiotechMarine gives Seppic complementary expertise in marine biotechnologies and plant cell culture and widens its product portfolio with a complete range of active ingredients from marine biodiversity, according to Air Liquide.
“We are delighted to welcome these new employees to the group. With this acquisition, Air Liquide intends to reinforce its position in the field of healthcare specialty ingredients. The complementarity of BiotechMarine and Seppic allows us to widen our know-how and continue the development of this activity,” said Pascal Vinet, VP-healthcare global operations and member of the group’s executive committee. “Health is one of the group’s growth drivers.”
