Caviar Dreams in the UAE Cosmetic Market

March 14, 2013

• UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: Seagull, a global specialized cosmetics firm operating in the UAE, is looking to caviar to further ignite the already fast-growing cosmetics market in the country. The firm has rolled out Perle & Caviar, a new product that contains both pearls and caviar.

Tested at the Institute Arnaud in Paris, the formula shows compatibility with all skin types and medical conditions. It leads to tightening of skin by 82% and restoration in skin structure by 62% and helps reduce wrinkles by 51%, according to company officials. The pearl also includes skin restoration elements, mainly in what is called “Mother-of-Pearl,” as it contains sodium salts responsible for improving hydro lipid balance; silica salts, which stimulate cell regeneration; and trace elements, which boost cell metabolism and provide a source of energy for skin plus A, B, C and E vitamins which combat free radicals and boost and revitalize skin.

According to Seagull, the UAE organic cosmetics industry grew 30% last year.
