Croda Earns Sustainability Accolades from Corporate Knights

March 14, 2013

UNITED KINGDOM: The 2013 Corporate Knights’ “Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations” report has ranked Croda as the highest placed UK-based company and placed the supplier at No. 25 in the world.

The report, which is compiled annually by Corporate Knights, a Canadian media organization specializing in the area of corporate sustainability, is now in its ninth year. The data-driven corporate sustainability assessment is based on the financial, social and environmental performance of approximately 4,000 of the world’s largest listed companies.

The results of the report demonstrate Croda’s increased emphasis on sustainability and highlight the importance that it plays in the company’s ongoing strategy, according to the firm.

Croda also said it will continue to focus on enhancing the financial performance of the company and delivering key environmental, social and governance benefits.

“I am delighted that Croda’s sustainability credentials have been endorsed so comprehensively in this report,” said Steve Foots, chief executive of Croda. “Our high global ranking and leading position in the UK reflects the significant amount of time that we have invested in this area. Our objective is to excel even further and make sustainability a major point of difference for the business. We are confident that this strategy will generate even greater benefits for the environment in which we operate, the people that we work with and our shareholders.”
