• Revlon, Inc. posted results for the year and the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, 2012. For the year, net sales rose 3.2% to $1.4 billion. The increase was primarily driven by higher net sales of Revlon color cosmetics, Revlon ColorSilk hair color and Sinful Colors color cosmetics, as well as the inclusion of the net sales of Pure Ice, partially offset by lower net sales of fragrances and other beauty care products, according to the company.
In the US, net sales rose 5.6% to $799.8 million. The increase was primarily driven by higher net sales of Revlon color cosmetics and Sinful Colors color cosmetics, as well as the inclusion of the net sales of Pure Ice, partially offset by lower net sales of Almay color cosmetics.
Net sales in the fourth quarter of 2012 increased 8.8% to $391.3 million. In the US, net sales leaped 14.4% to $219.2 million. The increase was primarily driven by higher net sales of Revlon color cosmetics, Revlon ColorSilk hair color and SinfulColors color cosmetics and the inclusion of the net sales of Pure Ice, partially offset by lower net sales of Almay color cosmetics.
