US 8,377,459 B2; Procter & Gamble Company has patented a wet wipe comprising a nonwoven material releasably carrying an oil-in-water emulsion composition.

The oil-in-water emulsion composition is comprised of an emollient; a surfactant selected from the group consisting of nonionic surfactants, amphoteric surfactants, anionic surfactants, cationic surfactants and combinations thereof; a preservative, wherein said preservative is a paraben-based antimicrobial comprising methylparaben, ethylparaben and propylparaben; at least 0.80% of a soothing agent selected from the group consisting of PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, PEG-7 hydrogenated castor oil, PEG-50 hydrogenated castor oil, PEG-30 castor oil, sorbitan isostearate, isoceteth-20, sorbeth-30, sorbitan monooleate, coceth-7, PPG-1-PEG-9 lauryl glycol ether, PEG-45 palm kernel glycerides, PEG-20 almond glycerides, PEG-24 hydrogenated lanolin, PEG-20 hydrogenated lanolin, PEG-6 caprylic/capric glycerides, PPG-1 PEG-9 lauryl glycol ether, lauryl glucoside polyglyceryl-2 dipolyhydroxystearate, sodium glutamate, polyvinylpyrrolidone, N-vinylcaprolactam, sodium coco PG-dimonium chloride phosphate, linoleamidopropyl PG-dimonium chloride phosphate, sodium borageamidopropyl PG-dimonium chloride phosphate, N linoleamidopropyl PG-dimonium chloride phosphate dimethicone, cocamidopropyl PG-dimonium chloride phosphate, stearamidopropyl PG-dimonium chloride phosphate, stearamidopropyl PG-dimonium chloride phosphate, cetyl alcohol, and combinations thereof; and water.

The oil-in-water emulsion composition has a skin gentleness index of less than about 0.3.
