• China has become one of the largest markets for cosmetic products as well as one of the largest manufacturing regions in the world. The NYSCC is bringing SFDA officials from China, industrial regulatory experts, and US government officials to present the latest information about regulations in China. Jon Huntsman, former Ambassador to China and a 2012 Republican Presidential primary candidate, will be the keynote speaker during the event’s dinner.
Among the speakers are Xinhua Zhi, Consul For Science and Technology, consulate general of the People’s Republic of China in New York; Ying Shao, professor at Beijing University, a former director of Review Center, Administration Bureau, SFDA; Yunlong Li, head of the Institute for Nutraceutical and Cosmetic Product Inspection and Supervision; and Jianhua Ding, the secretary, department of international cooperation, SFDA. Also, an “Industrial View” session will include talks by Simon Chan, Hong Kong Cosmetic Technical Resources Centre; Jay Goldring, director of Regulatory, L’Oréal and a Chinese expert on innovation and IP protection.
A Q&A session will be held as well as individual breakout sessions with officials.
