June 6, 2013

• FRANCE: As part of its commitment to the cultural and creative heritage of France and Europe, LVMH—parent to Christian Dior, Guerlain, and Benefit Cosmetics among other beauty brands—supported the digital restoration of “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg,” a film which won the Palme d’Or at Cannes in 1964 and was nominated for five Oscars. It was directed by Jacques Demy and starred Catherine Deneuve.

The restored version was presented at the Cannes Film Festival, held last month.
