• CHINA: AmorePacific Corporation is helping bring out the beauty and confidence in Chinese female cancer patients via its “Make Up Your Life” campaign. The campaign is designed to help patients overcome the emotional distress and depression they experience while fighting against disease and keep a positive attitude toward their inner beauty and life. In turn, such a positive attitude is expected to raise their will to accept treatment proactively and boost their immunity.
The AmorePacific staff uses its expertise in bringing out beauty, including makeup, skin care, and hairdressing, to help female cancer patients who suffer from sudden changes in their appearance such as changes in their skin and hair loss during the course of cancer treatment.
On June 7, AmorePacific China hosted the campaign at the Shanghai Cancer Recovery Club. Sixty patients were in attendance. During the event, they experienced personal makeovers along with a lecture by professional makeup artists. The event also helped participants regain their confidence and inner and outer beauty through activities such as writing messages for a tree of hope, fashion shows and a dance performance.
The Shanghai Cancer Recovery Club, a collaboration partner for this campaign, is a leading cancer recovery NGO established in Shanghai in 1989. Through more than 20 years of various activities and partnerships with hospitals, it now has over 13,000 members fighting against cancer. This is the second year that the Club has participated in the AmorePacific Make Up Your Life Campaign.
