August 2, 2013

SOUTH AFRICA: To honor Mandela Day, which was July 18, Dermalogica’s Financial Independence Through Entrepreneurship (FITE) organization is partnering with two organizations headquartered in Cape Town–Project Ignition of South Africa, a Global Fund for Women grantee, and These Numbers Have Faces.

The FITE initiative was originally launched by Dermalogica co-founder Jane Wurwand in 2010 to help women start or grow their business. To date Dermalogica has helped fund 30,526 loans across 68 countries. In addition, Dermalogica’s concept spaces in Santa Monica, CA; New York, NY and Scottsdale, AZ distributed $25 Kiva gift cards and encouraged visits to Kiva.org to direct free loans.
