Lenzing Forges Facial Mask Alliance with NBC

September 4, 2013

CHINA: Lenzing AG and Nox-bellcow (ZhongShan) Nonwoven Chemical (NBC) have formed a joint venture to manufacture facial masks based on Tencel Skin. The launch of co-branded facial masks made of 100% Tencel Skin allows consumers in China to make an informed decision on sustainable beauty products, according to Lenzing.

NBC is a top manufacturer of skin care products in China and a key player in the area of facial masks and wipes. The company successfully works for global players as ODM manufacturer.

“Lenzing is happy and proud to announce the cooperation with NBC. Asia is one of our core markets and with NBC we have found a strong strategic partner for further developments in the field of skin care products,” said Wolfgang Plasser, VP and general manager of the nonwoven fibers business unit. “As consumers are looking for sustainable products with a positive impact on future generations, our fibers made of the renewable resource wood are ideally suited for cosmetic applications. We are continually striving to expand our product portfolio in this direction and in close cooperation with our customers are an indispensable part of our innovation work.”
