Kohl’s Department Stores’ Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program. Alenick of Woodcliff Lake, NJ launched Donate-A-Toothbrush, an organization dedicated to providing the tools to those without access or means to toothbrushes. She’s donated more than 38,000 toothbrushes to more than 20 Third World countries, shelters for battered women and children, a nursery school in Kenya, and victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Each scholarship recipient received $10,000 for higher education. In addition, Kohl’s will donate $1,000 to a nonprofit organization of each winner’s choice.
