Ashland Care Specialties’ Supercol Guar Rheology Modifier Receives COSMOS Certification

September 4, 2013

Ecocert, the global organic certification body, has verified that Ashland Care Specialties’ Supercol GF Guar and Supercol U Guar rheology modifiers conform to its standards and those of COSMOS for natural cosmetics. The organizations certify finished personal care products as natural and organic based on the use of approved ingredients.

According to the company, Supercol GF Guar and Supercol U Guar rheology modifiers are all-natural, high-purity, water-soluble guar gums that may be used to thicken personal care formulations. Supercol polymers are extracted from guar endosperm and supplied as powders of varying granulation and viscosity.
