The fourth annual Dove Self-Esteem Weekend, which was held Oct. 4-6, kicked off high above the world at the Empire State Building in New York City. Journalist and talk show host Katie Couric and girls from Girls Inc., Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Girl Scouts were atop the New York Skyline icon to “flip the switch” to illuminate the spire—in red, blue, green and white—to honor national partner organizations and symbolize the thousands of women who join the Self-Esteem Weekend.
Following the lighting, Couric and Dove global self-esteem ambassador Jess Weiner led a self-esteem workshop with girls and their mentors.
