Shiseido Signs US Spokesperson

September 30, 2013

Snowboarder Hannah Teter is new face for sun, skin, color and new Ibuki line.

For the first time in the brand's 140-year history, Shiseido has signed gold medalist and Winter X Games champion Hannah Teter as a spokesperson for its sun care, skincare and color lines in the US.

According to Heidi Manheimer, CEO of Shiseido Cosmetics America, "Hannah's lifestyle and commitment to suncare protection will inspire athletes and women everywhere to take a more active role in protecting and caring for their skin."

Through a long-standing partnership with the Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships, where Shiseido has been continuously committed to sun care education and sampling, Shiseido will once again be sponsoring Teter at the Burton U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships.

At the 2013 event in Vail, CO, where Teter took second place overall, she greeted fans in the Shiseido tent and protected her skin during competition with products from the Ultimate Sun and Urban Environment lines. The 2014 partnership will expand on this relationship and Teter's dedication to sun care awareness education.

Teter will also serve as spokesperson for the brand's newest launch for millennials, the Ibuki line, as well as Shiseido's olor collections.

The 2014 Burton U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships will take place March 5-8 in Vail, Colorado.
