Croda recently debuted the latest product in its range of NatraSense 100% bio-based surfactants into the European market. NatraSense LF8 provides a high performance alternative to the traditional petrochemical surfactants used as defoamers and rinse aid additives, said the company.
Extensive application based testing has shown that NatraSense LF8 can reduce foam levels of both surfactants and formulations. Independent auto dishwash testing has been carried out by Eurofins and confirms that NatraSense LF8 gives excellent rinsing performance; reducing residues and streaking on dishware, has low film build up and allows glossy dishware to retain shine.
With NatraSense LF8, formulators are now free to create high performance green cleaners from renewable ingredients for applications that demand low foaming products.
In other news, Croda has launched Cirrasol Expel, a patent-pending high performance additive designed to boost stain removal in laundry care formulations. Cirrasol Expel can be used in a wide range of liquid formats including detergents, monodoses, and stain removers, providing improved cleaning performance on a wide variety of stains.
The additive boosts cleaning performance on all of the three main stain types and can deliver over 20% improvement on a number of problem stains. A highly versatile stain removal additive, Cirrasol is compatible with all surfactant types and can be easily integrated into existing liquid laundry detergents to give a clear, stable formulation, according to the company.
