With the confirmation of another three facilities in Hopewell, Janesville and Mapleton, Evonik has raised its number of cosmetic GMP (ISO 22716) certified production sites to 10.
ISO 22716 refers to the manufacturing process of cosmetics as well as raw materials. It includes guidelines for quality-related aspects of a product.
In addition to the European facilities, which received accreditation in 2012, the production sites in NAFTA now fulfill GMP guidelines.
“The acknowledgement for our American and European production sites shows that we are able to fulfill the high demands of our customers in the cosmetic industry concerning the product quality during production and storage,” said Klaus Nawroth, quality management and compliance, Evonik Personal Care.
Therefore, we can raise the customer satisfaction. Due to the fact that we are aiming to realize these quality demands globally we are planning a prompt inclusion of our Asian sites for this standard.”
