SCC Honors Wertz and Greenberg in New York City

The Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) board of directors is set to present the 2013 Maison de Navarre Medal Award—the Society’s highest honor—to Dr. Philip Wertz during its annual meeting, which takes place this month in New York City at the New York Hilton Midtown.

Dr. Wertz is being recognized for his outstanding contributions to the understanding of the structures, functions and metabolism of the lipids of the skin and oral epithelium.

Dr. Wertz will be presented with the de Navarre Medal during the Thursday Luncheon (Dec. 12).

Also during the SCC annual meeting, Dr. Stephen Greenberg will be honored with the 2013 SCC Merit Award. The presentation to Dr. Greenberg will be made on Dec. 13.
