US Patent No. 8,597,618 B1; Tom’s of Maine, Inc. has patented a dentifrice composition that contains an orally acceptable vehicle, an abrasive particulate and a surfactant system comprising an anionic surfactant comprising a C8-C16 fatty acid glutamate salt and a nonionic surfactant comprising a C8-C16 alkyl glucoside. The dentifrice does not contain any fluoride compound, a source of fluorine ions or any alkyl sulfate salt.
