US Patent No. 8,629,094 B2; S.C. Johnson & Son has patented a composition for treating odors embedded in or adsorbed onto soft surfaces. The composition contains at least one active ingredient selected from the group consisting of triethylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, propylene glycol, triethanolamine, and mixtures thereof, wherein at least one active ingredient reduces the partial pressure of malodorants; nonionic surfactant comprising a mixture of a hydrogenated castor oil surfactant and a polyglycol ether; quaternary ammonium salt; co-solvent selected from the group consisting of short chain monohydric alcohol; and water. The composition is free of any cyclodextrin compounds and film-forming polymers.
