Condicare PQ-7 (Innospec) (Polyquaternium-7)

Phase B
Iselux SFS (Innospec) (Water (and) sodium lauroyl methyl isethionate (and) cocamidopropyl betaine (and) sodium cocoyl isethionate (and) sodium methyl oleoyl taurate)

Phase C
Citric acid (50% solution)
q.s. to 5.5-6.0

Phase D
Fragrance, dye, preservative

Phase E
Sodium chloride

Charge water into mixing vessel. Slowly blend in Condicare PQ-7. Mix until completely clear and uniform. Slowly blend in Iselux SFS and mix until uniform. Blend in compatible fragrance, dyes, and preservative. Adjust pH 5.5-6.0 with citric acid. Adjust formulation viscosity to 5,000-10,000cps with incremental (0.2% increments) addition of sodium chloride as needed (note that sodium chloride can be replaced with alternate electrolytes such as sodium isethionate).

Appearance @ 25°C—clear, viscous liquid; Viscosity (Brookfield DV-E @ 20 rpm, 25°C, #5 Spindle)—5,000 – 10,000 cps; % Solids (approx)—18.0-20.0.
