Three Rahn Actives Now Part of NaTrue

March 5, 2014

NaTrue has certified three Rahn cosmetic actives—Defensil-Plus, Reforcyl and Cleomilk.

Defensil-Plus is a highly effective, natural first-aid kit to alleviate stressed, sensitive and irritable skin, according to the company. The special properties of blackcurrant seed oil and balloon vine extract in combination with sunflower oil concentrate effectively reduce inflammatory processes and replenish the damaged skin barrier. It soothes various forms of skin irritation; acute irritation as a result of razor burn, or from mosquito bites are both significantly reduced. Chemically irritated skin also is protected and gently regenerated. Defensil-Plus markedly relieves dry, itchy, allergy-prone skin and gives those plagued by eczema a new lease of life, according to the company.

Reforcyl helps regenerate the perturbed barrier of mature skin and provides nutrition and new resistance. The plant Gynostemma pentaphyllum from Asia activates LXR and stimulates the synthesis of epidermal lipids; the skin barrier is restored from within. The Western plant Cistus incanus strengthens the reduced antioxidative defense system found in mature skin. Reactive oxygen species are neutralized, thus preventing further damage to the skin barrier. The amino acid glutamine acts as a metabolic fuel and reactivates the decelerated metabolism of aging skin cells. Reforcyl shows a five-fold efficacy against the appearance of mature skin; hydration, firmness, wrinkle depth, elasticity and skin smoothness are all markedly improved.

Cleomilk is a plant-based phyto-milk like concentrated skin care lotion modeled on Cleopatra‘s skin care. The unique formulation, consisting of organic black caraway oil and sesame oil, reduces moisture loss from the skin and has a relipidation effect. In combination with aloe vera juice, this reinforces the skin‘s natural water storage. Cleomilk is preservative free.
