SCJ Patents Self-Adhesive High-Viscosity Cleaner

US Patent No. 8,658,588 B2; S.C. Johnson has patented a cleaning composition that contains nonionic surfactant; polyalcohol; hydrophilic polymer; mineral oil; a non-ethoxylated blend of linear primary alcohols and water. The composition is a gel having a viscosity of about 600,000 cP to about 1,500,000 cP. It is self-adhering to a hard surface and is composed to remain self-adhering through a plurality of flows of water thereover, and provides a Marangoni effect resulting in spreading of components of the cleaning composition.
