Fusion Packaging Promotes ‘Scene’ Bottle

July 2, 2014

Fusion Packaging’s Scene bottle was recently awarded the 2014 Cosmetic Package of the Year by the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) AmeriStar competition, which recognizes packaging that demonstrates the best in innovation, product protection, economics, performance, marketing and sustainability.

Scene, a patent-pending bottle featuring a shatterproof, crystal-clear shade base for true color indication, was selected as the winning package for the cosmetics category. The innovative bottle combines two resins, polypropylene and PCTG, in a lightweight, single-walled package that is highly customizable. The package was also a finalist for the IoPP’s Best of Show, Sustainability and Design Excellence Awards.

Winning the AmeriStar award qualifies Scene for the WorldStar competition, the pre-eminent international packaging award sponsored by the World Packaging Organization (WPO). Fusion Packaging previously won the AmeriStar and WorldStar awards for the twist-to-open Stu package in 2011.
