The new “Snoopy and Belle in Fashion Presented by MetLife” traveling exhibit, which opened last month at the New Museum’s Sky Room in New York City, showcases one-of-a kind creations of the Peanuts beagles made by leading fashion designers from Anna Sui to Isaac Mizrahi to Zac Posen. M•A•C Cosmetics was also in the mix, creating its own look for the iconic beagle.
M•A•C came on board as a partner on the project this summer, according Peanuts Worldwide, a joint venture owned by Iconix Brand Group, Inc. and members of the Charles M. Schulz family. In addition to the looks it created for Snoopy and Belle, the Lauder brand also donated gift boxes filled with lipstick, eyelashes and blush to attendees at the opening gala.
In gratitude for the designers’ participation in the event, Peanuts will make a donation to their charity of choice.
The exhibition will travel to Paris, Milan, Tokyo and elsewhere during the next two years.
