The Procter & Gamble Company: announced that vice chairman and special advisor to the chairman and CEO Werner Geissler will retire from the company on Dec. 31, 2014, after more than 35 years of service.
Born in Germany, Geissler spent two years with the German Air Force before graduating with an MBA from the University of Cologne. He joined P&G in 1979 as a brand assistant. During a career that has spanned more than 35 years in marketing and general management, he has worked in Germany, the Netherlands, USA, Turkey, Japan and Switzerland. He was appointed vice chairman of global operations in 2007 and assumed the additional responsibility of special advisor to the chairman and chief executive officer in 2014.
