Procedure | |
Charge water (A) into main vessel. Begin heating to 85-88°C. Add BTAC228KC (B). Mix until dissolved. Batch will be clear. Add Pureact LAA (C). Maintain temperature at 60-65°C. Add Cetearyl alcohol (D) and sprinkle in Structure XL (E). Mix with moderate to higher mixing (525rpm) Batch will begin to smooth out. Remove from heat. Mix until all lumps are gone. Adjust pH to 5.0-5.50 using citric acid (F). Continue mixing until (~300 rpm) 40°C. Add desired preservative (G). Mix until uniform. Do not aerate the batch. | |
