Mary Kay: tapped Nathan Moore as president of the Mary Kay North America region. In his new role, he will help Mary Kay Inc. guide strategically and confidently into the future while working to create growth in the US and Canadian markets.
Moore is replacing Darrell Overcash who has served as president of Mary Kay North America for the past 10 years. After more than 20 years with the company, Overcash will retire this month.
Moore began his career at Mary Kay Inc. as a staff attorney in 1995. Over two decades, he has held several leadership positions within the company’s legal department and was a founding member of the Mary Kay Culture Committee, which is dedicated to preserving the culture and values of company founder, Mary Kay Ash. For the past 13 years, Moore served as Mary Kay Inc.’s chief legal officer and secretary where he managed all aspects of the company’s legal, public affairs, risk management, corporate communications and corporate social responsibility efforts.
The company also appointed Julia A. Simon as chief legal officer and corporate secretary at the company’s global headquarters in Addison, TX. As a member of the executive committee, Simon will manage all aspects of the company’s legal, risk management, corporate communications and corporate social responsibility functions. She has more than 25 years of legal experience in private law practice and in-house positions.
Simon first joined Mary Kay Inc. in 1995 as an employment lawyer, then left to rejoin the law firm, Locke Purnell Rain Harrell, where she was elected as a partner in 1998. Simon returned to Mary Kay Inc. in 2000 and most recently served as senior vice president, deputy general counsel and assistant secretary.
