The beauty industry is mourning death of Balaran’s James John Slowey, who died of natural causes on April 14, 2018, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Slowey was an amicable fixture at nearly all industry trade shows and events, where he loved to speak about Baralan’s many capabilities in the cosmetic packaging business. He spent nearly his entire 30-year career at Baralan, first as a sales representative in New York, then as manager in the Los Angeles office, and most recently as vice president of sales for the domestic corporation as a whole. His years of experience were evidenced by his strong technical background and unparalleled skills in the sales and marketing end of the cosmetic packaging industry.
“Jim was really a family member, we grew up together. We had much more than a working relationship,” said Roland Baranes, CEO of Baralan.
