ElfaMoist AC humectant (INCI proposed: N-Acetyl DGA) from AkzoNobel easily penetrates the stratum corneum to deliver and increase hydration, and keep skin moisturized for 30 hours—with just a single application. The material performs exceptionally well without disrupting the barrier, according to AkzoNobel researchers.

"The performance of Elfamoist AC humectant is the best we have seen from any humectant that we have evaluated," said Han Bevinakatti, global R&D, AkzoNobel.

The material enables formulators to create high quality skin care products in leave-onemulstion systems and rinse-off products.

During NYSCC Suppliers' Day, AkzoNobel promoted a broad range of ingredients including Amphomer film-forming hairstyling polymers; Dermacryl 79 and Dermacryl E film-forming sun care polymers; Celquat conditioning agents; Dry-Flo aesthetic modifiers and Structure rheology modifiers.
