The cutaneous microflora provides the skin with protection and immunity. However, Silab’s innovative research work revealed that aging can cause an imbalance of skin microbiota, thus compromising skin integrity.

 
During NYSCC Suppliers' Day, Silab (booth 529) presents Ecobiotys, an active ingredient bio-inspired by the regulating capacity of floral nectar microbiota, the Nectarobiota. Rich in biopeptides from the yeast Metschnikowia reukaufii, isolated by Silab from the nectar of the porcelain flower Hoya carnosa, this smart active ingredient is able to:
• Restore the functional performance of the skin’s immune and mechanical barriers; and
• Regulate the ecology of mature skin, acting on the distribution of bacterial communities.
 

Thanks to its rebalancing and protective actions on the cutaneous microbiota, Ecobiotys improves skin quality and enables mature skin to recover a radiant complexion. Developed according to an eco-design approach, Ecobiotys is a patented active ingredient, available in aqueous solution (recommended amount: 1 to 2.5%), and compliant with global cosmetic regulations.
