Evonik Corporation (stand 38) showcases its expertise in sun care ingredients at the Florida Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) Sunscreen Symposium in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Sept. 14-16. On display will be the new Active Lifestyle Concept and Sensory Kaleidoscope 2.0, an innovative interactive tool to help formulators obtain the desired skin feel by displaying a vast range of cosmetic formulations in the context of their sensory characteristics. Innovative ingredients include Tego Care PBS 6, a versatile PEG-free O/W emulsifier, fully based on renewable sources, and Abil EM 180, a W/O emulsifier with outstanding stabilization capabilities, particularly effective in systems with high UV filter loadings.

 
Evonik’s Active Lifestyle concept addresses the needs of active consumers who enjoy sports and being outdoors, and includes formulas that offer sun and sweat protection. This includes an “after sun energizing and nourishing spray,” that contains Tego Cosmo C100 for revitalizing the skin and Tego Care CG 90, for excellent emulsion stability and light skin feel. Another formula in this concept is “exercise-proof foundation” that keeps the face looking fresh during a workout by helping to prevent smudging caused by sweat. The emulsifier in this formula, Abil EM 90 imparts a velvety and silky skin feel desired during a workout emollients.
