P&G's Arnold On Fortune's Most Powerful Women List

2006-10-13 | 09:45

Procter & Gamble's Susan Arnold joins some of the country's top female executives on Fortune magazine's 50 most Powerful Women listing. Ms. Arnold, 52, vice chairwoman, beauty and health, for Cincinnati-based Procter ranked 10th on the list, according to a Fortune news release, moving up from 17th last year. In April, she took over responsibility for the company's personal health, oral care and pharmaceutical units, along with the oversight of Procter's beauty products. The divisions under Ms. Arnold's leadership produce 42% of Procter's revenues, according to Fortune, putting her in line for the chief executive officer spot at the consumer goods giant. Fortune's criteria for the ranking include the size, importance and health of the company, as well as the momentum of each woman's career and her influence.
