CCA Industries Inc., which makes health and beauty products, said Thursday it signed a letter of intent to be acquired by private investment firm Dubilier & Co. for about $94 million.

The deal values CCA at about $12 per common share and $14.50 per Class A share. The announcement pushed CCA shares to a fresh 52-week high of $12.74.

New York-based Dubilier & Co. has invested in more than a dozen companies.

The transaction is subject to the execution of a definitive purchasing agreement, the conclusion of all the financial commitments, the termination of all outstanding employment contracts and shareholders' approval.
