James Craigie Named Chairman of Church & Dwight

Robert Davies retires at annual meeting

Church & Dwight Co., Inc. announced that its board of directors has elected president and chief executive officer James R. Craigie as Chairman of the Board effective following the company's 2007 Annual Meeting of Stockholders today.

Mr. Craigie, 53, joined Church & Dwight as president and chief executive officer in July 2004.

Robert A. Davies, III, the company's current chairman will retire from his position, but will remain a director of the company. Mr. Davies also served as the company's chief executive officer from October 1995 until his retirement from that office in July 2004.

"I am pleased to complete the transition of the company's leadership to Jim as he becomes chairman in addition to continuing his role as chief executive officer," said Mr. Davies. "The board and I have every confidence in Jim and his ability to lead our company."
