Pentapharm Is Now Part of DSM Nutritional Products

Acquisition, announced July 5, is completed.

DSM Nutritional Product's acquisition of Pentapharm Holding Ltd. has been completed. The deal fits well into DSM's Vision 2010 strategy to focus on accelerating and innovative growth and also allows Pentapharm to sustain and exceed its defined growth targets, according to DSM.

Dr. Ute Schick, director of DSM Nutritional Products New Business Development, Personal Care, succeeds Caspar Stum, Pentapharm's CEO for nearly 25 years.

The official signing of the contracts also represents the first major milestone in the joint future and officially starts the cooperative integration activities, according to DSM. The goal is to create the global leading supplier of cosmetic active ingredients by combining DSM's excellent capabilities in terms of claim substantiation, test design and regulatory environment, with Pentapharm's track record in positioning and introduction of innovative products.

Although the acquisition has been completely, DSM said no immediate changes are to be expected for internal or external stakeholders.
