An OASIS for Organic Products?

2007-11-07 | 10:57

New industry group formed to promote sustainability standards

To an already long list of would-be organic authorities, marketers can add another: OASIS. The new organization, which is an acronym for Organic and Sustainable Industry Standards, was unveiled at SupplySide West in Las Vegas.

The group's long-term goal is to create certification standards. It includes a mix of marketers and suppliers including Aveda, McIntyre, Hain's Celestial and Vegetech.

The organization is dedicated to verifiable standards that support and promote organic and sustainable production for health and beauty products.
