A Cosmeceutical Ingredient for Sensitive Skin

2008-10-07 | 01:01

Laboratoires Serobiologiques launches Skinasensyl

Laboratoires Serobiologiques launched Skinasensyl, which it calls a pure tetrapeptide that targets over-reactive skin by decreasing the release of pro-inflammatory neuromediators, reducing the response of the sensory nerve fibers to external stimuli, increasing the skin's tolerance threshold and reducing the sensations of pain and discomfort  perceived by the end-users. The product was on display during the exhibition at the International Federation Societies of Cosmetic Chemists' (IFSCC)  25th Congress in Barcelona, Oct. 6-9.

The material is said to be ideal for the 40% of consumers who insist that they have sensitive skin. The ingredient is said to be ideal for skin care products for sensitive skin, anti-stress skin care products, cosmeceutical ranges and men care products.
