Two Are New from Mibelle

2008-10-07 | 01:27

Novel skin care ingredients debut at IFSCC

Following up on the successful launch of PhytoCellTec Malus Domestica at In-Cosmetics in April, Mibelle Chemistry rolled out two new ingredients at the International Federation Societies of Cosmetic Chemists' Congress in Barcelona.

New EpiCalmin TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) is said to reinforce the skin's natural defense system. It also actively prevents skin aging, improves skin hydration and soothes irritation, according to Mibelle. It is said to be an ideal addition for products such as sensitive skin care formulas, anti-redness products, advanced protective formulas, sun care and after-care formulations, and wellness and spa products.

Also new is NanoCacao, a lipophilic fraction of cocoa beans that is encapsulated in a nano-emulsion. Two versions are available: one water-soluble (NanoCacao) and the other oil-soluble (NanoCacao O). The material reportedly destresses and relaxes the skin, reduces skin tension and smoothes the micro-relief. It has applications in anti-stress formulations, color cosmetics and wellness and spa products.
