Oriflame Opens R&D Center in Ireland

A €2.4 million facility will ultimately employ 127.

Swedish cosmetics company Oriflame has opened its new,  €2.4 million research and development center at Bray Business Park in County Wicklow, Ireland.

First opened in 2000 employing 28 scientists, the R&D centre was orginally planned to employ a total of 50. This has grown over the years to 92 scientists and the company further plans to expand this number to 127 over the next five years.

The new facility will be the company's Cosmetics Centre of excellence for product research and development and includes regulatory affairs and product safety.

Oriflame has been in Ireland since 1979 when it opened a manufacturing facility in Dublin's Sandyford. The Swedish group had an annual turnover of €1.109 billion last year.
