Former president/COO Wasson to lead drugstore chain
It’s all in the family at Walgreens. The company has tapped its president/chief operating officer (COO) Greg Wasson as its next chief executive officer (CEO), according to a report today in Women’s Wear Daily.
Mr. Wasson will start his new position on Feb. 1, while remaining president. The COO post will go unfilled for now, and chairman Alan McNally – who served as CEO – will still be chairman of the drugstore chain.
