Revenue for the three months ended Feb. 28, 2009 at CCA Industries, Inc. jumped 8% to $14.9 million, while net income for the health and beauty company dropped 17% for the quarter.

"An increase of $1 million in advertising expenditures in the first quarter of 2009 was the prime reason for the lower income compared to last year's first quarter," said Chief Exeuctive Officer David Edell.
