The Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributers (ICMAD), the trade association representing approximately 700 independent cosmetics industry organizations, has appointed Jeff Murad, vice president of product development for Murad, Inc., to its Board of Directors. He will serve on ICMAD’s Board for the 2009-2010 term.

“It’s a great honor to be given the opportunity to play a leadership role with an organization that has been so meaningful to our industry,” said Mr. Murad. “As a member of ICMAD’s Board of Directors, I will be able to interface with other companies, monitor trends and share best practice recommendations with those that need it. I look forward to providing advice that can help our fellow companies in the business of beauty flourish in today’s economy.”
