P&G Interested in Sara Lee's Air Care Unit

Reports circulate that firms are in private discussions

Citing sources familiar with the discussions, Bloomberg is reporting that Procter & Gamble is in private talks with Sara Lee Corp., and is interested in its air care business, which includes Ambi Pur air fresheners.

According to the report, Sara Lee prefers to find one buyer for its entire international household products unit, which includes Ambi as well as Kiwi shoe polish and insecticides.

Last month, Sara Lee agreed to sell its body care and European detergent units to Unilever for approximately $1.8 billion.
