Founded in 1884, Victorinox Swiss Army, which began as a cutlery manufacturer, is today world renowned for its active outdoor lifestyle products. The newest edition to this storied line is Victorinox Swiss Unlimited, the brand’s premiere fragrance for men.
With a woody bottom note, Swiss ingredients and long lasting, unique scent, Victorinox Swiss Unlimited is a logical continuation of the brand’s philosophy of combining design, quality, functionality and innovation with today’s modern lifestyles, says the company. The launch of this new fragrance took place at the Bloomingdale’s 59th Street, where the New York Mets own David Wright was on hand to sign limited edition Victorinox Swiss Army baseballs for attendees.
With its powerful claim – “no boundaries, no borders, no barriers” – the new Victorinox Swiss Unlimited fragrance is an eau de toilette for men who believe in the core values of the Victorinox brand – ingenuity, functionality, quality and timeless design. Award-winning perfumer and Swiss-native Christine Nagel, along with perfumer Jean-Christophe Herault, composed a unique blend of ingredients from the mountainous regions of Switzerland: genepi, absinth and silver fir. Combined, they create an aromatic scent with a persistent trail, an apparently classic structure and a fresh finish that gently highlights its woody base notes.
In staying with the brand’s philosophy and values of environmental responsibility, the Victorinox Swiss Unlimited fragrance packaging includes a streamlined glass bottle enclosed in a red rubber sheath, stamped with the famous cross & shield emblem. The larger bottle is refillable, and sheath removable. The clear aquamarine color of the fragrance further enhances the fresh sensation. For adventurers, Victorinox Swiss Army created an innovative “U-Fill Tool”, a refillable mini-bottle for traveling. Both bottles are supplied with a carabineer.
“Authenticity is at the very core of the Victorinox brand DNA, for this reason it was of the utmost importance that we develop, produce and distribute our new fragrance within our organization. As with all products we produce, Swiss Unlimited takes its inspiration from the Original Swiss Army Knife and as such, we will ensure that the fragrance maintains the standards of that icon. To lead this very important initiative we tapped Swiss industry veteran, Vera Strubi, who is known for ground breaking and innovative fragrance introductions during her time at Clarins and as President of Parfums Thierry Mugler,” said Veronika Elsener, president of fragrance, Victorinox AG.
