A Surge in Q3 Sales at Ulta

Company posts gains in profits too.

Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. reported net income for the third quarter of $8.5 million or $0.14 per share, compared to $5.0 million or $0.09 per share in the year-ago quarter.

Net sales for the quarter increased 11.5% to $284.0 million from $254.8 million in the prior-year quarter.

Comparable store sales increased 1.5% compared to an increase of 2.0% in the third quarter of fiscal 2008.
