Pierre Fabre to Debut New Skin Creams

2010-05-20 | 10:39

We are all familiar with retinoids, the family of vitamin A chemicals commonly used by dermatologists to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of skin aging. In most cases however, retinoids are not recommended for sensitive-skin individuals because they can cause skin irritation, dryness, peeling and most often, more harm than good.

In support of their continuing commitment to treating even the most sensitive skin, Eau Thermale Avène has formulated their Rétrinal+ Creams with retinaldehyde, the immediate and closest precursor to retinoic acid. According to the company, this revolutionary ingredient has been clinically proven to significantly reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles with little to no skin irritation. Retinaldehyde has also been shown to enhance firmness, hydration and radiance and is ideal for use by every skin type.

In addition, the anti-aging creams now contain pre-tocopheryl, a photo-stable form of vitamin E that is patented by Avène’s parent company Pierre Fabre.Clinically proven to provide powerful, all-day anti-oxidant protection, pre-tocopheryl guards against future signs of aging including, fine lines and wrinkles, discoloration and uneven skin texture.

The new Rétrinal+ is available in two concentrations to address individual skin concerns: Rétrinal+ 0.05 (0.05% Retinaldehyde) for nighttime skin rejuvenation and Rétrinal+ 0.1 (0.1% Retinaldehyde) for more intensive nighttime skin rejuvenation.

Both products will be available in August 2010.
